I started running in the fall of 2007. I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.
Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014. My favorite PRs: 2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22. 2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

First of all Tom and I ran up Provo Canyon 5 miles and back down 5 to the start line of the Provo 5K.
I met up with DeeAnne Hatch who I have been helping with the couch to 5k program the last 9 or so weeks. She has lost 95 pounds over the last 11 months and this was her first ever 5k.
In practice we had done 3 miles and the fastest was about 36 minutes. We were hoping to get under 35. Well...she rocked it! She came in at 32:52ish!!!! She was 3rd in her age...and surprising to me I was also 3rd in my age. When I run my best and try to place I sometimes don't make it but I run slower and get in....what gives? :)
Anyway...it was a super fun race! Such a joy to watch DeeAnne through this journey!
Tom and I were the only ones to show up today. I'm glad this wasn't last week when Tom had a 5K he was doing or I would have been alone. It is so much easier running with someone than alone! Thanks Tommy! :)
