I started running in the fall of 2007. I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.
Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014. My favorite PRs: 2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22. 2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15
Short-Term Running Goals:
Long-Term Running Goals:
Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.
Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!
On running and on life.....
On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Personal:
Going to St. George? Bag the hotel and stay in one of our condos instead!
I had no goals in mind for this race. Ran into my friend Lisa Lundell at the beginning and decided to run with her. She has been sick for about 3 weeks so she knew it was going to be hard for her. We came in just before 2:20. I enjoyed running with her.
Jansen flew out for Costa Rica last night. Lisa's cousin owns a retreat in Costa Rica that let's people come and work there for some room and board. So hopefully I can hook Jansen up with them!
Yesterday I took Tani and her friends, Kelsie, Tracy, Hannah, and Emily to Cedar City for the SUU Red Riot. It is a night for prospective students. I dropped them off and then came to the condo to stay since I need to pick them up today to take them home.
I had to try to get double digits all by myself. Happy to say I did it! However only one mile into the run my foot went into a crevace in the road and I twisted it quite bad. I thought I was going to have to find help getting back to the condo. I decided to try to run anyway. It hurt at first but then started settling down. But by about mile 7 it was pretty sore. It is a little swollen and looks like it might bruise but luckily I think I made it through without much damage.
Dan, Ludlow, Tom and I braved what we thought was going to be a very soggy, cold morning. The snow fell here and there but the rain did not come and drench us! YAY! Down in the riverbottoms there was a loose black cow on the road. Cars go so fast down there we thought for sure someone would hit it. Right then a car came flying past....we motioned for it to slow down and luckily they listened and were able to slam on the brakes right as the cow came in front of them. I know they would have hit it. We called to have the cops take care of it before someone and the cow were hurt. We took the loop again and when we came around there were 4 officer vehicles and they had it all under control. Now if we could just figure out how to get those cars to slow down on those roads!
We also found a pigeon sitting in the road like it had been hit but not killed. It looked fine but wouldn't move. We didn't really want to have it get splattered on the road so Tom scooped it up to take it off the road. With that it decided to try to fly and got off to the side but not much more than that.
That's all we tried to save today.
At nine I went to the stake women's conference. It was really nice. Always great to be with the sisters and learn and feel the spirit.
