Tom and I paced St. George Half again today.  Love it!  

Brr!  Tom and I ran with Ludlow and Dan.  Happy to have layers on in that cold wind.  Probably about 10 degrees with the wind chill.  Happy to be able to be out there though!

Got up early...bundled up, went out about a block, realized an infection was making me too sick to be out today.  

Cold bus oh so lovely!  Totally enjoyed the beautiful, sparkly, white morning with Tom, Dan, Dave and Kelly! 

I was very sick this week.  Hopefully next week goes much better.

29 years ago today I became a mommy for the first time.  Happy birthday Cam!  And Happy birthday to Rurika tomorrow!

I would rather have had at least 10 today but snow came along and made it a little more difficult.  Tom is in SG with some HS buddies so I was out with Ludlow and Kelly.  We saw about 20-25 deer.  4 or 5 bucks....they stood there and watched over us as we stood there and watched over them.  They were pretty awesome.  They stood up on a ledge looking down at us.  Fun morning even though we were running through wet, wet snow and being splashed by the cars.

Dang!  I got sick again this week and it was cold and snowing so I chose to not go out and get pnemonia!  I did go out today.  It  was nice with the gang.  A little bit on the nippy side down there in the single digits again....but overall nice.  Except my left heel is sure acting up... I've had trouble with it since August.  I hope I can get it figured out soon.

I put 5 miles but Tom and I really did 10 miles up Observation Point at Zion's.  But since it was more of a hike than a run I cut the miles in half.  We had a fabulous day!

Tom and I ran the Gap near our condo.  Some of this has fallen rock we need to climb over, but mostly able to run.  Again....a wonderful, fun day with Tom!  We love being in St. George!

I've taken a lot of time off of running to help heal a heel.  It is still not completely pain free but I'm trying to get going again and see what happens.  Tom and I were in SG so we did the Zen Trail. My lungs were my problem....hard to run up hill and breath at this point.  But I had a ball and hope things will continue to get better.

Loafer Canyon for the first time this year.  

Ran the first mile without a stop then a rest about every 1/2 mile.  Turned around at 2.75 to come back down.  Looking forward to seeing progress on this hilly route!

Ran almost to nine feeling great and then the dang heel started bothering me a lot!  Unfortunately i was still 2 miles from home.  I walked that but walking was even bothersome.  I hope this heel heals eventually!

Five by myself.  Kept it easy and slow.  Heel wasn't too bad.   We'll see what happens from here.

First down hill Payson Canyon of the year.  Beautiful!  I always love this.  Please help me stay injury free so I can enjoy it!  I do still have heel pain in my left foot but it doesn't bother me while running.  Mostly hurts later in the day.  Trying to ice more and hopefully keep running.

Loafer.  Foot hurt while running but not as much later.  I never know what is going to go on with this foot.  

Love my Payson Canyon!  I'm sad I won't be able to run it the next two weeks but I am HAPPY I will be in Seattle getting to know Juliet and having fun with Ella!!

Heel needs to heal!  The last few miles get pretty painful....I need to pace AF 1/2 in 2 weeks.  I hope it works out to make it the 13.1 distance!

Had to get 10 in alone in Seattle.  Went through the lovely Llandwoods area.  Beautiful weather!!

I love the opportunity to pace this race!  Today I ran in honor of my running friend, Carolyn Creer.  She has been battlling breast cancer for the past year.  I also run to honor Susan Lee who is a 10 year survivor of colon cancer and in memory of my brother Kevin who passed away in 2013 from brain cancer.

I helped pace a man (60ish years old) who had heart surgery a month ago.  He was here from Nashville celbrating his 35th wedding anniversary.  It was so fun to run with him as he looked at our beautiful Utah canyons with such awe!  

I ended up coming in a little bit too soon for my pace time.  It's always tricky to make sure we are coming in right on time.  This race only lets one pacer per time slot so you rely on yourself.  It is nice when there are two to help watch the clock and make it a little more precise.  

Anyway...I love this race!  

Up and down Loafer but had to walk after 4 miles because of some knee pain.  After not much running to a bunch of down hill I need to be careful.

Four miles and some beautiful zumba on the crest overlooking the riverbottoms with Lesa, Annette and LeAnn!

Kept things nice and slow.  Walked about 30 seconds after each mile to try to keep foot and knee happy.  I hope my longer run on Saturday will be ok.

The foot pain is almost to 11 months....very sore this evening.  :(  I hope I can get the miles in for SGM!

Payson Canyon again!  Yay....all went well!  

At about 4 miles into our run we noticed a truck down in the river.  It made us nervous.  One of the guys shimmied down and climbed up to look into the cab to see if anyone was in there.  Luckily it was empty.  That made us happy!  

Ran for the first time with the Heel Seats I just bought.  So far so good.  I hope this is the miracle cure for the PF!

Maybe the run up Loafer is getting a little easier.   :)

Used the eliptacle today to help keep feet ready for an early week 16 miler tomorrow.  Tom, Tani, Tia and I are headed to SG tomorrow afternoon for 3 nights of Tuacahn musicals and the running is going to be hard in the hot weather and with the late nights.

Two nights of late Tuacahn musicals....wake up after 5 hours of sleep...go out in SG at 85 degrees at 5:30 am.  Ran 10 miles.  Tom added one more to make 11.  One more musical tonight and then back home tomorrow.  Fun times down here with Tom, Tani and Tia.

Last time down Payson Canyon for this year.  Sad to see it come to an end.

Also Tyler's birthday today.  Helped Jansen sell his van today.  Showing the house for potential buyers.  One very interested this morning.  Hope it happens soon.

With over a year of Plantar Faciaitis and less weekly miles I was hoping to come in under 5 hours.  I wasn't sure how it would go.  I thought if I could get anywhere near 4:30 I would be super excited.  But mostly I just wanted to run smart and not do any damage on feet or legs.  

Well...it worked out fabulously!  I didn't feel any pain until the last few miles and if I stopped to stretch my knees when they got sore I was able to go without pain again for awhile.

Tom was with me the whole way...also Dan was with us most of the way.  They are both way speedier than me but Dan has been hurt and Tom decided to go with me anyway.  Dan took off the last few miles and came in a bit before us.

Overall I am very pleased with this SGM #10 for me!

First run since the marathon...everything felt good.

Last Saturday run from 1051 E 850 S....signed on our new house yesterday and will move in next week.

First run from my new house at 1069 River Hill Drive.  We ran up to our old house to check on it....went in to find the smoke detectors beeping....just needing some new batteries luckily!

Mile markers are never right for this race.  Had to run fast the last .2 (which should have been .1) to get close to 2:10.  And though the markers are wrong and it makes it hard as a pacer I absolutely love this race!!  Nice to pace it with my best running buddy Tom!  :)

Nice run today for Tommy's birthday!  Fun to have Sherrie and Clint Argyle join in with us for a while.  Maybe they will join other days too!

Thanksgiving fun run with the whole gang.  Always lots of fun to get everyone out at least once!  Gift exchange and munchies at the church.

I took some time off of running in the cold to get rid of some sickness.

Today met with the gang and went to the Dugout after the run to socialize over hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls.

Tom and I seriously ran out today in our new Christmas PJs!  Red and white striped pants and a red shirt with a white snowflake.  We got lots of smiles and hellos and Merry Christmases!
