I tried a "two a day" today in preparation for Wasatch Back in a few weeks. I went out this morning around 6 o'clock and did five miles. Then I just got back from 6 more. The sun wasn't shining too much but it felt quite warm and muggy. It's good for me to get out in a little more warmth. (I'm saying warmth because I know that Bonnie has been running in 100 degrees, so I dare not say hot. Even though to us who have not yet had spring think it feels that way.) This morning's average pace was 8:58 and this last one was 8:50. I was going to keep this second one slower than 9s but I guess I was impatient.
Good news! Tom is so on the mend! He will soon start getting back into very gentle running. I can't wait to run with him again! He will be taking it easy through this running season so it will be a fun time to run together, (since his easy is my regular stuff). |
