Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

Very clever entry today Kimi-lou. Hey you gonna bring me a cookie and milk? Working at home has some nice advantages!

BTW I really enjoyed the run today, still feeling the "afterglow" :)!

You are the best Kim! Although my favorite was a couple years back when you felt like there were bluebirds and butterflies around you -- and it made me think of the Song of the South movie ...

Love it. The deer are certainly coming out of the woodwork lately!

Ya, where is it that you see all this wild life? All I ever see are skunks and runaway dogs.I am so jealous of you getting to run with your hubby. Only a few more years and my kids will be old enough for us to leave together too. Enjoy!

Thanks everyone...the cookies are ready if anyone wants one! Homemade Oreos with purple frosting! : )

Julie...Today we ran up and down Payson Canyon...we usually don't see deer in the river bottoms, but sometimes they are there.

Bonnie...I'm so glad you remember that fun run I had! It is still clear in my mind! I felt lovely and Tom was daper and roses bloomed beneath our feet as that cute little hummingbird led the way through the cute country road!

Bonnie...I had to go back and find that entry. Here it is.~~~~~~

Anyway, it was up and then it was down! In the second mile I was able to say "I'll make it to the next mailbox" then "I'll make it to the next sign", ect....But soon the mailboxes and signs were gone and I had to say, "I'll make it to that next pothole.", "I'll make it to that next bend." That is when a cute little hummingbird came to help us along. He was so cute, he would fly just ahead of us and wait for us to catch up and then move forward again. He did it several times! He did it until we could see the fence post of the gate we were going to. Once he knew we were going to make it, he went of on his merry way! As he flew in front of us we became animated, the trees and road became animated, colorful flowers bloomed beneath our feet, rainbows appeared above the trees, I was Julie Andrews and Tom was Dick Van Dyke and we looked lovely and dapper and bounced freely to the gate.....Oh wait, I said that outloud didn't I? That was the part that was all in my mind! Actually when we reached the gate I felt like throwing up...even though that lovely little scene had been playing in my little theater in my head! Just for the record, coming down is much easier! Happy July 1st ya' all!

Kim wasn't that when we ran up Loafer Mtn? And didn't you make all that stuff up to distract you from the pain of running uphill at 7-10% grade? Seems like maybe things weren't quite as Disney-ish during the actual run, but I do like the revised version :)

BTW the cookies & milk were quite tasty.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your posts!!!

Do you want to know which blog entry I remember the most?? It is one about it being garbage day and how everything was smelly. Now I NOTICE garbage day, too.

From Tom on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 16:24:19 from 137.65.56.16

So I guess there really was a hummingbird, eh?

From Bonnie on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 16:31:53 from 128.196.228.134

and butterflies Tom ... and the rainbow road! Very nice!! That is the way I envision all of your runs ;-).
