Running Accomplishments:

I started running in the fall of 2007.  I truly believe I was inspired to start running and I have seen some very big blessings come my way because of following that inspiration.

Ran Boston Marathon 2013 & 2014.  My favorite PRs:  2011 at the SG 1/2 and 5K where I ran the 5K in 22:22.    2013 Nebo 1/2 (downhill) 1:36:15

Short-Term Running Goals:

Long-Term Running Goals:

Running throughout life with Tom. Staying healthy and happy.

Learn from others, learn from myself, work hard, do my best, enjoy!

On running and on life.....

On occasion we need to make a second effort - and a third effort, and a fourth effort, and as many degrees of effort as may be required to accomplish what we strive to achieve.

It's down to the single digit count down.

  • Who's bodies are going to make it to the starting line?
  • Who's bodies will let them make it over the finish line?
  • Who will be able to reach the goals they have set?
  • Who will be disappointed because they fall a little short?
  • Who will go beyond their expectations?
  • Who will have the most embarassing moment?

The answer to these and many more questions in only 9 more days on the race reports!  It will be a very interesting day indeed!

Thanks again to everyone for all the help and encouragement you have sent my way!  :o)

Kim-

I have been following your ITB injury and have felt your pain. I totally understand what you are feeling. I haven't had any advice to give that hasn't already been given, so I kept my mouth shut. All I can say is that you seem to be doing all the right things and that's all you can do while letting the chips fall as they may. I look forward to seeing you cross that finish line...

All good questions Kim. I'm feeling a little sad and left out that i'm not doing SGM. crazy, huh? I'm thinking of coming down just to volunteer and cheer on everyone from FRB.

Kim, best of luck to you!!!! Lisa, I hope you come down!!! Next year you will be there with a marathon under your belt and PR!!!!

Who will arrive with a knee brace and hip corset? Just kidding cause this darn hip/knee issue is making me question my every move. Nonetheless I plan on giving it my all even if my all is not my all for a different day. Three cheers for showing up at the starting line. See you real soon!!!

I think I will win the unfortunate award of "Who got the biggest positive split".

From Brent on Fri, Sep 26, 2008 at 13:56:15

I expect we will have many with positive splits (in the running, no shame in that award, toughed it out to the finish)

Kim, you will cross the finish and have a good marathon.

Stay Kool, determined, B of BS Rools out

Just go and have a good time and enjoy the experience!

My son is changing his plans and going to run 'easy' and stick with me because he has not trained as much as he needed to with foot/ankle injuries.

My main goal is to not spend my time in the port-a-potties. I PR'd last year, but struggled with food poisoning, and that was not fun.
